    Café Poche Addition
    Notre Dame, Indiana

Hand Drafting and Watercolor | Fall 2006

Our second design project provides the café inside of Notre Dame's School of Architecture with additional dining space. My project mediates between providing an open-air space full of light and the frigid winter climate. To accomplish this, I included a large skylight and tall windows along the walls that could be open during the warmer months. Attached to the eating area is a loggia that faces the lake views of campus and offers outdoor dining space. A set of monumental stairs connects the loggia to grade, allowing customers to walk straight into the café.
